We always use exterior-grade all-weather pressurized wood, however this doesn't mean your boards are indestructible! The wood is designed to sustain minor water damage. Long periods of exposure to water or direct sunlight can slowly warp the wood over time. So just remember to put them away when you're done! For boards with decal stickers, you're going to want to take more precaution with heavy rain/baking in the sun.
Your boards are well protected by the triple-strength polyurethane coating we apply, but Mother Nature will always be stronger. Storing boards in a very hot/cold garage or shed can cause decal stickers to slowly weaken under the gloss coating. Motor exhaust and salt carried into the environment could also damage the painted surface of the boards. Ensure your boards are properly covered when storing. A storing your boards indoors, if possible, is obviously the best protection!
Never leave your bags outside overnight! The bags are NOT designed to sustain water. The corn mix inside the bags is a natural material and will inflate if exposed to water (think of mixing flour with water). Deer, squirrels, and other critters also like biting into the bags to eat the corn bits inside. We strongly recommend using a lid-locked container to store your bags.
To keep your boards looking fresh & brand new, apply a thin coat of "Varathane Triple-Thick Polyurethane, Water-based, Clear Gloss" once a year. Always ensure you are using a poly-bristle brush when applying. Allow the boards to dry 4-5 hours before use.
